The event brought together around 300 participants to discuss the main topics of Accounting and served as a preview of the State CONVECON, which will be held in 2025
On August 22, 2024, the city of Santo André hosted the 29th Regional CONVECON. In a day of great interaction and knowledge, the Convention brought together in the auditorium of Anhanguera Educacional some of the greatest experts in the market to talk about accounting, tax, technology and management topics. Accounting professionals with the longest registration time with CRCSP were also honored.
At the opening, the vice president of Professional Development of CRCSP, Wander Pinto, the president of Sescon-SP, Carlos Alberto Baptistão and the president of the Accountants' Union of Santo André (Sincosa) and representative of CRCSP in São Caetano do Sul, Ulisses Celso Garcia Gonçalves, welcomed the participants, highlighting the importance of regional meetings, promoted by Accounting Entities of the State of São Paulo, to expand knowledge and debate the topics that are impacting Accounting, from Tax Reform to the use of new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence.
Around 300 participants were present at the Santo André Regional CONVECON, including accounting professionals from all over the state, sponsors and visitors.
Tributes
During the event, the president of CRCSP, João Carlos Castilho Garcia, and the vice president of Registration of CRCSP, Eliane Aparecida Maia, presented professionals over 70 years of age and with over 50 years of professional registration with CRCSP with a Diploma of Merit and Recognition, highlighting their work, competence and dedication to the accounting profession. The honorees were: Antônio de Sillos Navarro, Antônio Razoppi, Dorival da Rocha Mello, Irene Grasson Pereira de Souza Viola, Jayme Felice Júnior, João Ivanov Filho, Jurandyr Malaman, Luiz Antônio Paulino, Nafatail Alves, Nobuya Yomura, Pedro Ferreira Granja and Zoilo de Souza Assis.

“Prepare for the Preparation of the New Income Statement – IFRS 18”, with speaker Alexandre Gonzales and moderation by CRCSP advisor Adilvo Pinheiro de Oliveira França Júnior;
“Leadership with a Focus on Business”, with specialist Márcia do Nascimento Basso Jorge and moderated by the vice-president of Inspection, Ethics and Discipline of CRCSP, Flávia Augusto;
“Conflict Management and Opportunities in Business Mediation”, taught by the vice-president of the Academia Paulista de Contabilidade (APC), Angela Zechinelli Alonso, and mediated by the vice-president of Professional Development of the Council, Wander Pinto;
“Integration of Generative AI with Existing Accounting Systems and the Importance of Professional Training in Day-to-Day Accounting”, with speaker Fábio da Roza Oliveira and moderation by the vice-president of Administration and Finance of CRCSP, Heloísa de Castro Alves Felippe da Silva, and the vice-president of Administration of the Association of Accounting Services Companies of the State of São Paulo (Aescon-SP), Inez Lemos Lopes, and
“The Best Opportunities with Tax Reform Using Artificial Intelligence”, presented by specialist Caroline de Souza and moderated by the director of Professional Development at Ibracon – 5th Regional Section, Christiano Augusto Beleze dos Santos, and by CRCSP advisor Renato Prone Teixeira da Silva.
The 29th Santo André Regional CONVECON was held by the São Paulo Accounting Institute (IPC), organized by the Accounting Entities of the State of São Paulo: CRCSP, Fecontesp, Sindcont-SP, Sescon-SP, Aescon-SP, Apejesp, Ibracon – 5th Regional Section and the São Paulo Accounting Academy, with support from the Santo André Accountants Union (Sincosa) and Anhanguera Educacional.
The Regional Conventions include activities designed according to the market demands of each region. They are also previews for the state edition of the 29th CONVECON, which will take place from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at Expo Center Norte, in the city of São Paulo.
